The Bolshoi is premiering three new works on Tuesday, February 13, 2007: "Serenade" (staged by Francia Russell), Twyla Tharp's "In the Upper Room," and a new work by Christopher Wheeldon, "Misericors," set to Arvo Part's Symphony No. 3. Raymond Stults previews the performance in the Moscow Times:

Thanks for the interesting link Francis. I admire Wheeldon's professionalism and talent. The Bolshoi is lucky to have him!

I wonder if anyone on the board has seen or will attend the Bolshoi's Cinderella and Don Quixote, currently at Kennedy Center from Feb. 21-25: ... vent=BHBSG

While that is slightly off the topic, I am guessing Possokhov may now be considered also an American choreographer (??)

At any rate, please post any impressions here!
