Yes the news is incredible, but it seems that Foundation Gulbenkian stated to estinguish the celebrated company iconsidered one of the most oustanding contemporary ballet ensemble in Europe, in order to sustain dance in other ways.

There is no press release or notice about the company closing on the website, though there are no performances listed for 2005-06.

It would be great if you could post a news release and/or articles about the closing, so that those of us who are not aware of this news can learn more about the company and the circumstances of the closing.

I do, however, hope that Europe is not losing another ballet company - that's always sad news.
