Read in THE TELEGRAPH recently:<P>RED SHOE DAY<P>Sir Ludovic Kennedy and his wife Moira Shearer are - after almost half a century - to be reunited with the ballet shoes that sparked thier romance.<BR>The size 3 1/2 satin "pointes", worn by Shearer in the film THE RED SHOES will be on display at the Imperial War Museum next month, as naval veterans - with Sir Ludo as guest of honour - commemorate the 60th anniversary of the sinking of the Bismarck.<BR>"I saw THE RED SHOES with my mother when I was working as a librarian in Berkhampsted," says Sir Ludo. "There was this beautiful girl in it and I completely fell for her. By coincidence, we both ended up at the Sadler's Wells Old Vic Ball six weeks later. I was pretty nervous, but eventually plucked up the courage to ask Moira for a dance - and one year later we were married."<BR>Neither sir Ludo nor his wife has seen the shoes since donating them as a "trophy" to the submarine HMS Tiptoe in 1952.<P>_______________________________<P>All together now: AAAAHHHH!
