Does anyone know of any details about their new season, especially in 2002?
I checked ENB's website, but they don't seem to have a season calendar, and neither does BRB.
Thanks in advance.

Hi Terry! You may already have seen this partial information, but perhaps it's useful for other readers as well.
Bear in mind that ENB have a new Artistic Director, Mats Skoog, who may still be developing his plans and BRB face delays for the re-opening of Birmingham Hippodrome, their home.
English National Ballet
Southampton - Mayflower Theatre
Box Office: 023 8071 1811
October 23 - 27 at 7.30pm
& October 25 at 2.00pm (schools' matinee)
& October 27 at 7.30pm
Michael Corder's Cinderella
Oxford - Apollo Theatre
Box Office: 0870 606 3502
November 5 - 10 at 7.30pm
& November 8 at 2.00pm (schools' matinee)
& November 10 at 2.30pm
Michael Corder's Cinderella
Manchester - Opera House
Box Office: 0161 242 2509
November 20 - 21 at 7.30pm
& November 21 at 2.00pm (schools' matinee)
Balanchine's Apollo and Who Cares? and Hampson's Double Concerto
November 22 - 24 at 7.30pm
& November 24 at 2.30pm
Michael Corder's Cinderella

Bristol - Hippodrome
Box Office: 0870 607 7500
November 27 - 28 at 7.30pm
& November 28 at 2.00pm (schools' matinee)
Balanchine's Apollo and Who Cares? and Hampson's Double Concerto
November 29 - December 1 at 7.30pm
& December 1 at 2.30pm
Michael Corder's Cinderella

Liverpool - Empire Theatre
Box Office: 0870 606 3536
December 11 - 15 at 7.30pm
& December 13 at 2.00pm (schools' matinee)
& December 15 at 2.30pm
Derek Deane's The Nutcracker

**********************************

Birmingham Royal Ballet

SADLER'S WELLS, LONDON
Swan Lake
5-10 September 2001
The Seasons / Dante Sonata / 'Still Life' at the Penguin Cafe
13 - 15 September
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN: 020 7863 8000
or online at www.sadlerswells.com

Academy at the NATIONAL INDOOR ARENA, BIRMINGHAM
Swan Lake
20 - 22 September
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN: 0870 9094144

BIRMINGHAM HIPPODROME
Arthur part 2
dates to be confirmed
Arthur part 1
dates to be confirmed
The Nutcracker
30 November - 15 December
Romeo and Juliet
6 - 9 March
Tombeaux / Sanctum / Façade
13 -16 March
Powder / Carmina burana
8 - 11 May
Hobson's Choice
22 - 25 May
THEATRE ROYAL, PLYMOUTH
The Seasons / Prodigal Son / 'Still Life' at the Penguin Cafe
24 & 25 October 2001
Swan Lake
26 - 28 November 2001
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN

BRADFORD ALHAMBRA
The Seasons / Prodigal Son / 'Still Life' at the Penguin Cafe
30 & 31 October 2001
Swan Lake
1 - 3 November 2001
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN

SUNDERLAND EMPIRE
The Seasons / Prodigal Son / 'Still Life' at the Penguin Cafe
6 & 7 November 2001
Swan Lake
8 - 10 November 2001
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN
THE LOWRY, SALFORD
Swan Lake
15 - 19 January 2002
PUBLIC BOOKING OPEN

[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited July 09, 2001).]

I know what you mean Terry and of course we Londoners always want to see as much dance as possible. However, we get vastly more than our share of dance in the UK and thus it is important that thse two major companies perform the bulk of their schedule elsewhere.
However, Terry, I assume that ENB will be back at London's Coliseum for much of December and January. Looking at the Autumn schedule it seeme likely that we will get some performances of Michael Corder's 'Cinderella'. Like much of his work, it didn't make much impression on me the first time, but others have told me how much they enjoy it, so I ought to see it again.
