The cast came to be change, It's important to note that Guerin doesn't make her farewells this season.
She should make it on Notre-Dame de Paris in Garnier next season.
Fanny Gaïda will make her farewell evening the 23 june instead of the previous date of Guerin.
Good news, we will see the Juliet of Agnès Letestu, she is the only young dancer to take the role this season she will dance the 11, 14 and 16 july beside of Nicolas Le Riche as Romeo, José Martinez as Tybalt Jéremie Bélingard as Mercutio, Christophe Duquenne as Benvolio and Vincent Cordier (coryphée) as Paris.
Other date to remain : 13 july with Maurin, Benjamin Pech one of the most promising premier danseur as Romeo (if he is not again injuried, because these last season, he was unfortunately very often injuried when he had some great role as Jean de Brienne as Raymonda or other), Stéphane Phavorin must take the role of Tybalt. It's a young "espoirs" evening with Alessio Carbone as Mercutio, Nicolas Paul as Benvolio and Stéphane Bullion as Paris. I think it will be the evening to not miss. Manuel Legris must dance his last Romeo on 9 july. He said he doesn't want dance the role after because he will be too old and he prefer that audience stay on good memories about him.
Sylvie Guillem is always scheduled the 26, 28 and 29 of june besides of Laurent Hilaire as Romeo, Kader Belarbi as Tybalt, Lionel Delanoe as Mercutio, Christophe Duquenne as Benvolio and Laurent Novis as Paris.
The Nureyev production is the best version, for my eyes, of Romeo and Juliet. it seems to be the more near to the Shakespeare play.
In same time you could discover an other ballet based upon a Shakespeare' play Neumeier Midsummer night dream with Aurelie Dupont and Jean-Guillaume Bart and the Elisabeth Platel returns for two dates 27 and 29 of june besides of Yann Saiz.
Performance to not miss. It's one of my favourite ballets.
