Did anyone catch "Two Ballerinas at the Royal Ballet" TV program recently? It is a documentary on Darcey Bussell and Viviana Durante and had been showing in the US on cable TV (Ovation TV).
I found the differences between the personalities of the two dancers fascinating. The filmmaker did a very good job of bringing out the unique qualities of each ballerina. Who said ballerinas are all alike?

Azlan, I have two great wishes. Firstly that I could have seen this programme, which I think has not been seen here. Secondly, that Viviana Durante was still a Royal Ballet ballerina. Boo-hoo!

My only regret is that I didn't think of taping it... for personal use of course.
Grace, as someone very connected with the world of ballet behind the scenes, how do you rate this program? Is it fair? Did it give viewers the true idea of what goes on and through the minds of principal dancers?
I thought it interesting that the comment was made about Durante being the typical English ballerina, light and delicate.
[This message has been edited by Azlan (edited April 24, 2000).]
