This is the opening Royal Ballet programme at the new ROH and it was a brave move to avoid the classics. I hope to see the programme next week, last minute stand-bys permitting.
The format is two 40 minute new works, by modern dance choreographer, Sue Davies and Ashley Page and a central part which is the source of the Int. Chor. title. Opinions are very mixed about these snippets from Martins, Kudulka, Duato etc. But I thought it would be interesting for N. American fans to read about Kistler, Harrington and others.
Here are some reviews:
Ismene Brown http://www.telegraph.co.uk:80/et?ac=000148269364269&rtmo
=kLeY7eZp&atmo=99999999&pg=/et/99/12/10/btball10.html
Judith Mackrell www.newsunlimited.co.uk/reviews/story/0,3604,113004,00.html
Debra Craine http://www.the-times.co.uk/news/pages/tim/99/12/10/timartdan02001.html?1376249
