Post subject:  Plaque dedicated to Yuri Soloviev

On October 30 a plaque on the site of Yuri Soloviev's former residence was unveiled in the company of both Yuri Fateyev and Soloviev's wife, Tatiana Legat, in Saint Petersburg. Details at the above link.

Also of note, in the string of this year's events dedicated to the memory of the unforgettable Yuri Soloviev, there will be an evening in his honor on November 22 at Dom Akteri (House of Actor's) on Nevsky Prospekt. This follows on September's "Sleeping Beauty" performance in his honor, and the plaque mentioned previously.

To give an idea of the level of dancing in Soloviev's day

possibly the hardest pas de deux ever choreographed ... (cannot help but wonder who did this particular piece of Cold War one-uppmanship ...)

the dancing by Dolgushin and Efremova however, is OUT OF THIS WORLD ...
