The Aladdin Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas is the kind of place where you can see Weird Al Yankovic or the Jamz Cheerleading Championship. But back in September, for two nights only, it was the Kirov Ballet playing Sin City, dancing in the Aladdin's 7,000-seat theater.
That weekend, in the four-story coliseum of a casino, dice rolled, cherries whirled and highballs flowed. Next door, the thoroughbred stars of one of the world's most esteemed ballet companies danced excerpts from such enduring 19th-century classics as "Le Corsaire" and "Don Quixote."
