Post subject:  Need help putting weight on dancing daughter!

Hello - new here. I am a mom to a young aspiring ballerina who dances six days a week and has no fat on her - not by choice, but by a genetically fast metabolism which makes certain that every calorie she gains is burned off immediately. She is about 5"5 and about 93 pounds I think. She's healthy and not at all weak. Tiny boned and looks like graceful twig on stage. We can't feed her steaks EVERY night, I assume because they aren't that good for you. She has one every other week. I try everything. But I'm always chasing after calories for her! Any advice?

Hi willow,

Since none of us can in good conscience give you any medical advice, I suggest you talk to her primary physician. He or she will be able to determine whether she is in good health and suggest a dietary regimen or a consultation with a registered dietician.

Good luck!

I am no physician but I am certain if she eats lots of peanut butter right before she goes to sleep that should do the trick  . Take that with a grain of salt..... HA!
