Dance Platform “Made in Bavaria”
March 1 - 3, 2007 in Munich

Regional Platform for Dance – Selected Contemporary Dance Productions from Bavaria

Now and in the recent past, interesting artistic dance productions have been created in many Bavarian cities. A selection of the most exciting pieces will be presented in Munich from March 1 to 3, 2007 within the framework of a regional performance platform entitled “Made in Bavaria.” During these three days, eleven artists and dance companies will show their work in Muffat Hall, Ampere, i-camp and Behringer Gallery. This marks that first time that transregional and international attention will be focused on dance productions that have been created in Bavaria. The platform will also offer its audiences an unprecedented overview of the diversity of contemporary choreography in Bavaria. Furthermore, national and international organizers will have opportunities to become better acquainted with artistically noteworthy Bavarian dance productions.

The platform will also provide space and time for dance-makers to meet one another, exchange opinions, and experience showings and exhibitions by other local artists.

Choreographers who live and/or work in Bavaria will be profiled in a publication entitled “Made in Bavaria,” which will be published to coincide with the platform.

You can request a comprehensive brochure for journalists, as well as pictorial material, from the contacts mentioned below.
