I'm not sure how many people know this, but at the major newspapers, people can only access stories on the websites by paying for them.

Many of the stories that are posted can be seen free for maybe a month -- and often times less -- before they're archived. Then you can only read them if you pay for a copy. Some charge as much as $5 each.

Why am I writing this? Because I'd love to read some of the articles that have been referred to, but they're no longer available for free viewing.

Perhaps a better way would be to copy the article (with the copyright notice!) and post it in this message area. Or there are some ways to do this using a small URL (?); I've seen mention of it, but personally I don't know how it's done. Maybe someone on here can explain it.

Anyway, it's just a suggestion.

Hi mskls and thanks for your thoughts on this knotty problem. We have a forum specifically for matters relating to CriticalDance, "What's happening on criticaldance", so I have moved your post to this topic:

See you there.
