Hi everyone! I'm new on here but I had a question for everyone... If you accept nudity in dance, then do you also accept strippers? Where is the line drawn?

Let me put the question right back at you :Why does there have to be a line drawn at all?

Welcome to criticaldance, dncrgrl2.

If one person wants to take off her/his clothes and another person wants to watch, I don't see it as any of my business -- unless, of course, I'm either the spectator or the one disrobing.

That said, I think that nudity in dance is often used not for its aesthetic contribution but for its shock value.

Isn't it all down to intention? The choreographers’ intentions can be various whereas stripping has only one intention - to titillate.
