The positive aspects? to have classes in nutrition/diet like certain companies are now smart enough to have;for dance heads to reavaluate the way too rigid standards on weight and "perfect" image(in one dancers column is was stated that RARELY does a dancer has a "perfect"dancers body).To throw the concept of teaching/correcting through humiliation and verbal abuse out the window(Linda Hamilton even said this has an effect on a dancers psyche,performance,and physical well being);motivate NOT humiliate.<BR> For ballet schools to develop a more caring and nuturing enviroment(I notice that some ballet schools on the internet are now emphasizing now). To ultimately encourage young women not to STARVE THEMSELVES TO DEATH.

From my personal experience, all the schools I went to over the years had all these things in place before Heidi Guenther, but that was the 80's AND it was California. Maybe it was different elsewhere.
