Even though I’m up in Heaven, I still can’t access the NBoC’s new website www.national.ballet.ca Every time I try I get stuck. Then I have to reboot my computer to get back on the web. Can anybody else get on the NBoC’s new site?
------------------
Lol, are you sure you're in heaven? Maybe you're actually on the flip side, in the depths of darkness. Image I have no problem accessing the site on IE or Netscape Navigator...

I just tried it with Explorer 5.5, Netscape 4.7, and Opera 5. It worked with all three.
The "flash" content might be screwing you up.
LOVE your ballets, by the way.

I have Netscape 4.5. Can anybody access content on the site? For example, press icon for info on members of company.
------------------
Still no problems... Kudos to the developer, I don't usually like full flash sites but this one is really well done. Bravo!

Even I - the least techie person on this board - or anywhere else in computer land for that matter - had no problem accessing the site - and a beautiful one it is.

Basheva, I'm sorry to contradict you, but I'm certain, absolutely, that I'm the least techie. I have references.

<-----------never argues with Maggie.
Your references could probably beat up my references.

(but if it was over a cookie - well that's a different matter altogether.)

What an amazing site! The clear layout, light and airy design, exemplary use of photographs and full archive material makes this one of the most impressive company sites around. I wish the RB site was half as goo……….
As I wrote these words it was as if some other entity took over my body and when I recovered these sentences were penned:
Hi Marius! Good to see you're trying to keep up with technology down there, but we get the new releases of software like Flash way before you. Well, there has to be some advantage to being up here in Heaven.
Good to see that there are still people who like your ballets. It must make you laugh that, despite all my efforts, your spectacles for the aristocracy became all the rage with the Bolsheviks and with a bit of gymnastics and the odd tractor formed the basis of Soviet dance for the next 60 years.
Best regards
Serge

My red pen is feared in my office... Here's another example why: I immediately noticed distracting spelling mistakes on that otherwise beautiful site.
According to the web site, Stanton Welch is an "Austrailian."

I hate to burst your bubble, but The NBoC site isn’t that web friendly. I surveyed ten web surfers at the office in Heaven and not one had upgraded to Netscape 4.76. According to a WebHead in the office, the site is unacceptable because it does not accommodate people who have not upgraded their browser. Hence, they probably eliminate half their surfers. I tried to download the upgrade 2 x. It failed to download because of traffic. I hate technology!
------------------
Technology really levels things out between the holiest of holy and those who are weak and of the flesh, doesn't it? Hmmm, must have been something that the almighty host on high came up with.
[This message has been edited by Marie (edited February 27, 2001).]
