Perhaps someone who is more familiar with this situation can tell me - do you think that this situation arose because she took time off to give birth? <P>I am not sure about Canada, but in the United States it is against the law for a women to be dismissed for such a reason and is, as I understand it, guaranteed that she can return to her job/position.<P>I have suffered this kind of discimination before the law in the US was enacted...hence my interest.
