Hi everyone! I'm starting ballet in august, and i have a few questions. I'm in jazz, and I'm already relly flexible. Are there any muscles I should be strenghthening< or any excersises or stretches I should be doing to get ready? I want to advance as fast as I can to pointe. I know I'll probablly have to work on turnout.

Hello Athena - welcome to our board - glad that you have joined us.
Everything that you need to do for ballet you need to do under the supervision of a teacher. You really shouldn't work on it yourself.
As for going onto pointe you will need to take 2-3 ballet classes a week for about 2-3 years before you are ready. And, then only your teacher can decide when you are ready.
This topic really belongs in The Studio and I am going to ask someone to move it there for you. In the meantime why don't you click on The Studio and scroll down the different topics and threads and you will see lots of information there to read about.
