THE French music world has never seen anything like it. A revolt among dancers at the prestigious Bordeaux National Opera has resulted in the director of the corps de ballet being hauled before a judge on charges of “moral harassment”.
Charles Jude, 51, a former disciple of Rudolf Nureyev, was accused in court on Thursday of rewarding with star billing those ballerinas who agreed to have sexual relations with him and penalising those who did not.
