Applications Open in the New Year for the first specialist Dance Fellowship on the Clore Leadership Programme The Clore Leadership Programme will be offering a Dance Fellowship, starting in September 2005, to a dancer who has the potential to move into a significant leadership role within the arts. The Dance Fellowship is generously supported by Dancers’ Career Development and The Linbury Trust.
The Dance Fellow will have an individually tailored programme, lasting a year or longer, which will include two intensive residential leadership courses; professional development through mentoring, tuition and group learning; time for reflection, research and debate; and a period of secondment, including experience of managing a high level project.
The Clore Leadership Programme, established in 2003 by the Clore Duffield Foundation as a new initiative to strengthen leadership across the arts, will be offering about twenty-five fellowships in 2005/6, across a wide range of areas of cultural activity.
Applications for the Dance Fellowship are invited from dancers from one of the major dance companies associated with Dancers’ Career Development. The closing date is 25 February 2005 and the choice of Dance Fellow will be announced in June.
