SENS / Noémie Lafrance is currently seeking interns. This is an opportunity to gain experience and develop your skills in arts administration and production with an innovative and successful art production company, and to support and participate in exciting projects for and by this community. We need you to assist with What’s Next for the McCarren Pool, our initiative to continue restoring this historic urban site in Greenpoint/Williamsburg into a mixed-use cultural/recreational facility. You will assist with specific tasks according to your area of interest, such as Arts Administration, Development (Fundraising, Grantwriting, and Corporate Sponsorship), Public Relations, and Community Arts Initiatives.

SENS interns work 2-3 days a week; regular office hours are between 10 am and 6 pm. Internships are unpaid.

Sens Production is a New York-based non-profit experimental arts organization founded in 2000. Our mission is to create and produce innovative site-specific dance performances that both engage audiences in spatial participation and explore the dynamics of movement in public spaces. Through our works, we seek to present live performances that heighten and transform our audiences’ perception of their environment and community by integrating choreography into architecture.

The site-specific works of Noémie Lafrance include Descent (2001-2003), Melt (2003), Noir (2004), The Invisible Sins of Fort Adams (2004), and Unseen: Landscape (2004), Migrations (2005), as well as Agora (2005), a site-specific dance performance in Brooklyn’s historic McCarren Pool.

To apply, please send a resume and cover letter to Natalie Campbell, Administrative Director, by email at info@sensproduction.org. Please indicate your availability and explain what you would like to get out of an internship with Sens. Please call 718.302.5024 or email for further information.
