National Dance Week events for West Virginia

Anna Pishner, Regional Director in West Virginia, will be present at Oglebay Institute with another Regional Director, Cheryl Workman, to kick off Wheeling's Celebration of NDW with a series of classes and presentations on April 27th.

On April 28th, an official city Proclamation will be presented by the City Council and Mayor Terry Greaver of Clarksburg at the Downtown Plaza at 12:00 Noon. The acceptance of a state Proclamation from Governor Bob Wise is significant, as well, since this state dignitary is also a dancer with an expertise in clogging. Open house will be held at Anna's Expressions of Dance located at 120 Linden Ave in Clarksburg along with a performance by the Allegro Dance Company at the Harrison County Courthouse Plaza.

Master Classes will begin on Wednesday, April 30th, with Geoff Steel instructing Ballroom and Clogging; Cheryl Workman of Oglebay Institute teaching ballet; Dee Demby of the Mary Miller Dance Co. teaching African/Modern; Mindi Bower, from International Indiana Ballet Company teaching pointe and partnering and; Cheryl Workman, of Oglebay Institute in Wheeling, teaching beginning ballet and tap.
