Post subject:  working together

You have collaborated with other artists?

Authors have defined collaboration in many different ways such as:

Collaboration in art should be differentiated from the simplistic notion of ‘sharing ideas’ or with art’s general position within the social division of labour (Robert 2004) where the controlling artist combines the arts so that his or her art has full advantage (Hines 1991).

Collaboration could be viewed as a ‘balance’ (Green 2004), where a deficit of one part of the relationship is compensated by the surplus somewhere else.

‘In order to progress, people have to work together. In the course of their collaboration, they gradually become aware of an identification in their relationship whose initial diversity was precisely what made their collaboration fruitful and necessary’ (Levi-Strauss 1973).

What is your definition?
