Rockette science: All you need to know about the ‘Spectacular’
The “Radio City Christmas Spectacular” is in town for its second year. The tap-dancing wooden soldiers made their box-office-breaking Boston debut at the Wang Theatre in 2004, performing for more than 200,000 theatergoers.

After nearly two hours of a garish, gaudy salute to the cheesiest and most commercial aspects of the season, the show suddenly goes all goopy and pious with a living Nativity scene. ... It would be funny if it weren’t such a blatant attempt to make this schlockfest of a show look as if it’s trying to be sincere about Christmas.
