'Nutcracker' returns to Centre County stage
By Adam Smeltz for the Center Daily Times (Penn State)

At the nonprofit Ballet Theatre of Central Pennsylvania, they're dancing and prancing into the holiday season -- in a big way.

About 70 performers will take the stage in each of three "Nutcracker" shows this month. Now in its seventh year, this "Nutcracker" is not only for all ages but also involves all ages, including adult dancers and younger dance students from the Ballet Theatre's school.

"We do it because we feel like, if there's a 'Nutcracker' in every community, there ought to be one done by a ballet," says managing director Alex Hill.
