Ballet company plans presentation

It's common for Polish born professional dancer Norbert Nirewicz to routinely criss-cross continents in order to perform with different dance companies. Nirewicz will do 15 to 20 shows around the world, including "Sleeping Beauty," in Japan, between now and December.

On Dec. 6 and 7, Nirewicz will appear in Paragould with the Eastern Arkansas Ballet as the company's guest artist in its 2002 production of Nutcracker.

Nirewicz will comprise the roles of the Cavalier and the Snow King in the production. In the role of the Cavalier, he will dance with Emerald Green, 17, who will perform the role of the Sugar Plum Fairy. In the role of the Snow King, Nirewicz will dance opposite Amanda Bagwell of Piggott, who will perform the role of the Snow Queen.
