This is somewhat sad for me as I danced in this production as a child...

Quote:
The way artistic director Marcello Angelini sees it, it took a three-member partnership to create Tulsa Ballet Theater. This triumvirate was the late dancer and choreographer Roman Jasinski, his partner in art and in life Moscelyne Larkin -- and a two-act ballet called "The Nutcracker."

"Mr. Jasinski and Miss Larkin had the vision and the talent and the drive to establish a dance company," Angelini said, "and their production of 'The Nutcracker' was the artistic and financial backbone of Tulsa Ballet from the very beginning. It's been the one constant throughout the history of this company, the tool that has allowed this company to grow."
