Cinders doesn't quite have a ball

HOW refreshing to find a Christmas Cinderella without the ingredients we have come to dread: the perky, pointless hermaphrodite who trades under the name of Buttons, the gender-bending comedian who flashes rubbery boobs and grossly passes himself off as a wicked stepmother, the celebrity boxer, cricketer or TV personality who can’t fit in a plot that does, after all, predate the Brothers Grimm.
