And that's exactly what happened Thursday night at the Harris Theater for Music and Dance during "Nuts & Bolts 2004," an expanded edition of that big, jazzed-up take on "The Nutcracker" that has been an annual holiday season tradition in Chicago since 1994. (The two-day run ended Friday night.)
