<BR>NEWS RELEASE For Immediate Release<P>Info Contact: Webster Dean (817) 738-7915<BR>Ticket Contact: Ticket Web (866) 468-7621<P>BALLET CONCERTO HOLIDAY DANCE SPECTACULAR, SUITABLE FOR ENTIRE FAMILY,<BR>SCHEDULED DECEMBER 6 & 7 AT WILL ROGERS AUDITORIUM IN FORT WORTH<P>Ballet Concerto Inc., a professional troupe that has performed in Fort Worth<BR>for over 30 years, will present its annual BALLET FOR YOUTH/Holiday Special<BR>in three performances December 6 and 7 at Will Rogers Auditorium.<P>On the program:<BR> The Christmas Grump (an original ballet based on Dr. Seuss's How the<BR>Grinch Stole Christmas)<BR> Winter Wonderland (a classical ballet)<BR> A Touch of Flamenco (Spanish dance)<BR> O Holy Night (the Christmas story in dance), Friday night only<P>The Dr. Seuss tale is a favorite with children of all ages. Winter<BR>Wonderland sets the mood for the holiday season with a series of pas de deux<BR>set to familiar Christmas tunes such as "White Christmas," "Winter<BR>Wonderland," and "Jingle Bells." A Touch of Flamenco celebrates the season<BR>with a collection of typical Spanish dances. O Holy Night, a re-enactment of<BR>the birth of Christ through dance, will be staged by Dennis Parrish,<BR>chairman of the drama department at the Southwestern Baptist Theological<BR>Seminary, with choreography by Margo Dean. The University Park Church Choir<BR>will accompany O Holy Night.<P>On Thursday and Friday, December 6 and 7, Fort Worth Independent School<BR>District and other area students will enjoy the production (first three<BR>pieces only) as a field trip at 10:00 a.m. each day. Interested schools may<BR>call (817) 738-7915 for group availability. Tickets for the general public<BR>will also be available at the door for $5.00.<BR>The public performance on Friday, December 7 at 7:30 p.m. also includes O<BR>Holy Night. Tickets for the 7:30 Friday performance are $10.00 for children<BR>ages 4-12 and $15.00 for adults.<P>Children under four are free.<P>Will Rogers Auditorium is located at 3301 W. Thanks for this pkhendricks - it sounds like a great show for children. I think it is more likely to be seen in our Holiday dance forum, so I'm moving it there.
