Err...excuse me for asking, but has anyone estimated how many versions of 'The Nutcracker' both pro and amateur in the US each year?<P><BR><B>Princeton Dance Studio presenting the 'Nutcracker'</B> <BR>By SARAH PRITCHETT DALTON in The Princeton Times <BR> <BR> <BR>Princeton Dance Studio brings the magic of the "Nutcracker" ballet to the stage in two performances this weekend. Shows are set for 7 p.m. Saturday and 3 p.m. Sunday at the Concord College Fine Arts Center. <BR>This classic holiday tale, performed to the music of Tchaikovsky, is more than 100 years old.<P>During a Christmas party at her home, a little girl, Clara, receives a nutcracker doll from her godfather Drosselmeyer, a toymaker. Out of jealousy, Clara's brother breaks her precious nutcracker. Drosselmeyer repairs the doll, but the festivities are ended.<P><BR>Unable to sleep, Clara returns downstairs and to her new toy.
