The Nutcracker ballet has perennial appeal, with its mix of magic and beauty set to Tchaikovsky's utterly danceable score. Last Friday night proved no exception. Despite the wind, rain and biting cold, all roads, it seemed, led to the Myer Music Bowl, where the Australian Ballet School presented the premiere of yet another version, choreographed by Leigh Rowles especially for the students from tiny juniors to the graduating year.
