Dancers dread wearing masks: They ruin your peripheral vision and interfere with your balance. But these masks are different. Made by the University of Florida's costume department, the mouse masks - as well as the nutcracker's - are crafted of molded mesh that is transparent, breathable and lightweight. From a distance, they look just as good as the uncomfortable masks of years past.
