Here's what to do in Miami:

'Round the clock activities for New Year's Eve

Nicole Arriaga, Miami Herald

The holidays are coming to an end; the bits of wrapping paper from Hanukkah and Christmas are now all gone; you've waited in the returns/exchanges line at the mall; now all that's left is to figure out how you want to ring in the New Year.

And in Philadelphia:

Chances to get up and get out for the New Year

Lloylita Prout, Philadelphia Inquirer

If procrastination put you on the couch last New Year's Eve to watch Dick Clark, don't let it happen again.

Whether you greet 2003 with adults only or with the family, you can choose from parties, concerts and, of course, fireworks in the city and region.

Philadelphia Inquirer

You have options aplenty to welcome in 2003. Scheduled diversions include cocktails and dancing, alcohol-free family-friendly First Night celebrations, two orchestral concerts, and Jerry Blavat's Atlantic City bash.

In the SF Bay Area:

Live music aplenty for New Year's

Denise Sullivan, Contra Costa Times

WE NATIVE Bay Area folk hate to be stereotyped, but look at the big New Year's Eve shows on deck around here and you'd think it's a Grateful Dead and jam band world and we all just live in it.

Hmm. Denise Sullivan managed to completely overlook the Bay Area (SF) Latin music and dance scene. To remedy the situation, here's a link to the NYE schedule from Latin Bay Area.
