A well known Executive Director in SF recently challenged donors to give money at a fund-raising event by offering to take a piece of clothing off for each donation. He and four of his conscripted cohorts (one male and three female) were soon stripped to nothing. Here's the full story:
SF's Theater Artaud in Trouble thread.
For how much money in donations would you strip naked? Or would you ever?

If they must resort to stripping they should have taken that CARDIO STRIP class at the Crunch Club....learn from the experts.

I think she did it as an issue about taxes:

quote:
Godiva, Lady (d.1080), English noblewoman, wife of Leofric, Earl of Mercia. According to a 13th-century legend, she agreed to her husband's proposition that he would reduce unpopular taxes only if she rode naked on horseback through the marketplace of Coventry. According to later versions of the story, all the townspeople refrained from watching, except for peeping Tom, who was struck blind in punishment.

Do you think the government will refund my taxes if...oh never mind....
I don't think I would strip for the arts, no. That might in fact hurt donations.
Actually, more than just taxes alone.
"So, what was Lady Godiva? A visionary; a social climber; a patron of the arts; a dilettante of the worst order?"
