~ this thread is a continuation of Fun Websites #2, which can be found at: http://www.criticaldance.com/ubb/Forum2/HTML/000064.html
[i'm keeping these threads short, because they are inclined to be image-intensive, which will slow up page-loading.]
for those with a macabre sense of humour -and quite a bit of patience - "Bob's Bad Day" http://www.geocities.com/CollegePark/6512/
it's an animated gif, which could have done with a bit more speed... (edit: actually, it seems to be fine after it's loaded/i.e. after it has played thru once...)
it has NOTHING to do with dance, but certainly MAY give some of you creative people out there, some ideas for things to do on a boring day with Ballerina Barbie and your camera ! Image
any contributions by michael goldbarth in this area will be carefully scrutinised before being presented for public consumption! Image

[This message has been edited by grace (edited July 20, 2000).]

"More than anyone could have ever imagined, the Internet has encouraged enormous numbers of otherwise productive human beings to waste vast amounts of time each day reading jokes, writing jokes, and relaying jokes on to other easily distracted friends."
~ sound like anyone YOU know?? Image
i got this quote from a comedy site i was planning to recommend, but after reading a few 'jokes', i decided it was definitely not 'our' style! Image ~ the following are 'MY' style:
here's 'Dr. Seuss for nerds': http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Atlantis/2687/jokes/dr_seuss.txt
if you like cats Image , you'll appreciate "Etiquette for Inexperienced Cats": http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Atlantis/2687/jokes/catiquet.txt
"How to tell you're an email junkie!" http://www.geocities.com/Athens/Atlantis/2687/jokes/mailjunk.txt

thru our member Birdie's OWN site i have found this leprechaun dance:
Image
and this fred astaire character... (limited movement vocab, tho' !):
Image
there is also a turtle in pink tutu and pointe shoes - but being, as i am, a card-carrying proponent of animal rights, i won't make THIS particular little creature keep doing relevés - it's most undignified...

Image
if you'd like to make your OWN animated gifs of fish -or anything else (barbie dolls...)- here's a basic little tutorial, complete with pictures (my kind of lesson): http://freshaquarium.about.com/pets/
freshaquarium/library/gallery/blg051199.htm
[This message has been edited by Stuart Sweeney (edited July 05, 2000).]
