That’s too easy: Balanchine’s Nutcracker! I’ll need to keep cool with all those hot coals. Of course, I would once again remain faithful to Kimberly “The Sugar Plum Fairy” Glasco! Though I can’t see her spending eternity in hell-especially after all the suffering she had to endure over James “The Black Knight” Kudelka!! I’m sure our luv would be so gooey, so pure that Kudelka’s hell would freeze over into an enchanted winter wonderland filled with frosted pines and silver birches where dreams dare twinkle into reality!
------------------
Michael Goldbarth

Michael I can see that you are going to make hell a very poetic place - I can't wait to see you dance with your favorite ballerina - you two will turn hell into heaven, Nutcracker notwithstanding.

Bejart is a choreographer who has his ups and downs, but 'Mr C', his homage to Charlie Chaplin, is generally acknowledged by London dance fans to be the deepest of his downs or indeed, any downs at any time.
I was particularly embarressed by the narrator, one of Mr C's grand-daughters. So, the threat of performing the role of the narrator, without even getting to do a bit of dancing, would be enough to keep me on the straight and narrow for sure.

Well, I guess I should reply to my own question - t'would only be right and just, and Hell is all about justice.
Since it is hot down there I would probably pick "Spring Waters", but to some of that unmemorable music that Michael Smuin used for some of his choreography for SFB. And my partner would be Vaktang Chubianki - simply because every time he swung me up into one of those impossible Russian lifts I would have to say as I topped over - "Vaktangovski, please don't squeeze my waist so hard" and by the time I got his name out, it would be too late.
But then there is Balanchine's "Tzigane" - even Suzanne Farrell couldn't help that piece.

May I take a chance and step in the middle here? As a moderator (by definition a moderate person, ha ha) I would like to say to Grace - in Stuart's version of heaven he can believe that your opinion would be changed. OKAY - I'm outta here - before the fur flies big time..................
