Song and dance act upsets Virgin crew
From The New Zealand Herald

Pacific Blue and sister airline Virgin Blue are under attack for selecting flight attendants on the basis of their ability to entertain rather than look after passengers' safety.

Eight experienced female flight attendants are taking Virgin Blue, part-owned by British billionaire Sir Richard Branson, to the Queensland Anti-Discrimination Board after they were allegedly asked to perform a song and dance routine during their job interviews.

Well, as Virgin Airlines don't show movies or serve a free meal en l'air, entertaining the passengers becomes an important function. In two flights I've been on, there has been a game played where the first person to list 10 body parts with three letters gets a free chocolate bar (incidentally, toe, leg, hip, rib, gut, gum, lip, ear, eye, and arm). Lots of fun!
