Well, you know how soldiers get medals for getting injured? In the US military for example a wounded soulder will receive a PURPLE HEART for bravery in battle.<P>Don't you think dancers also deserve a similar honor? After all, oftentimes injured dancers have to continue dancing in spite of the pain. So, I propose a new award, let's say, the PURPLE TOE, to be awarded to dancers for their bravery en-pointe or on stage, for their courage and bravery to bring enjoyment to so many.<P>The medal could be awarded weekly, with announcements like, "This week, the PURPLE TOE goes to Sylvie Guillem who never grimaced once while dancing in Romeo & Juliet with a sprained ankle."<P>What do you think? Great idea?
