I'll be in New York from September 9-24, doing Dance as Ever's fall season, and I'd like to get together with any or all criticaldance members who might be around then.

Salzberg is being suspiciously silent on the subject...

This sounds like a great idea. I'm still trying to see if I can fit a cross-country flight into my schedule...

I'm admitting nothing online.

If you want the true story of how I caused the Great Blackout of 2003, you have to meet me in NYC.

You jest, but here's a true story about the blackout of '65. I was a student at Boston University at the time and my roommate and I took the streetcar to Wellesley because her sister was an NYCB apprentice and we were invited to the dress rehearsal of a lecture-demo that the apprentices were doing there with Maria Tallchief and Anthony Blum. Everything was going along swimmingly, when Anthony Blum yelled out to the lighting guy. Take the lights to 2! The next thing you know, the lights went out. Blum yelled out again--NO--not all the way down--just to 2 (or some number--I can't remember now which it was). The lights never came back on. Maria Tallchief was very gracious and invited us onstage to share a box of petit fours she had received from the Wellesley presenter. We didn't realized that there was an East-Coast-wide blackout until we left the campus to return to Boston, which we accomplished by hitch-hiking. So there ya go! :p
