Backhoes' Ballet Beguiles
Dancing Diggers' dance show at state fair anything but routine. By Jennifer Jacobs for The Post Standard

Heavy machines more commonly seen digging up roads have traded the construction site for a state fair stage.

The yellow backhoes with the JCB Dancing Diggers have been performing around the world for 35 years, but are just beginning to appear in the United States, said JCB's Neil Smith.

The dance routine was the idea of the late Joseph Cyril Bamford, who founded the British-headquartered JCB in 1945.
