I guess this is fun depending on which side of politics you're on....but SEN JESSE HELMS is finally stepping down. I just heard it on the news this evening.

One of the funniest political cartoons I have seen in a while appeared in the NY Times (I believe)- After the Senate adjourns for the day, God comes down and sits in his chair, and pretends that he is Jesse Helms.

NOW! If we could ONLY convince Strom Thurmond to take note.<P>Hard to believe that we actually had a presidential candidate in the middle of the 20th century whose platform revolved around MAINTAINING segregation.<P>Ah well - - - America.
