djb, I missed that show! How I would have loved to have seen that! Walken strikes me as a very interesting fellow, more theatrical than his fellow actors.

Angela, after much searching on the web I have discovered the actual ad which is causing such a diversion for Londoners at present.
The site is called Clavin Klein Ads Unofficial Archive. Just scroll down to Travis Fimmel and then click on Travis: (Body/Underwear) The Nation 2001 and you will see the ad in question. Here is the web address: http://pobox.upenn.edu/~davidtoc/calvin.html

How about Leni Riefenstahl who was a professional ballet dancer before becoming the controversial Nazi-era film-maker?

She probably would have been spared using her talent to glorify the Reich.

This guy has to be a candidate:

Ballet-loving Japanese star settled in to London life

LONDON (AP) — Junichi Inamoto is relishing a second chance to prove himself in the Premier League and said Tuesday his troubled year at Arsenal helped him settle into new club Fulham.
The 22-year-old star Japanese midfielder has become a favorite at Fulham since joining on loan in July, scoring in the Intertoto Cup, and appearing as a substitute in the Cottagers' first two Premier League games.....Inamoto has settled into London life - albeit a more cultured one than many soccer players. He loves going to the ballet, clothes shopping and eating out.

The only downside is his English and Inamoto still needs a translator.

"Spaniards dance the flamenco with Bayern," was the headline in Bild, the largest-selling German newspaper.

How about Brittany Snow on "American Dreams," the new TV show:

"I've actually danced ever since I was three. Jazz, ballet, hip-hop, tap, lyrical," and just about every type of dance, Snow told reporters.

How about Lucy and Desi's son?

Desi Arnaz Jr. Enjoys Quiet Life

By ANGIE WAGNER, Associated Press Writer

It's not exactly the makings of a major Hollywood production, but fixing up the old Boulder City theater for his wife's ballet students is what excites him these days.
