There is mention of ritual dance further down, but this is included primarily for those who want to know how to seriously party.

Some of the festivals of Spain are attractive for their very simplicity; the annual Tomatina in Buñol has only one rule: throw tomatoes at everyone else. But Valencia's local festival of Fallas - four days of intense revelry in the middle of March - is a maze of traditions with which you need to have some acquaintance if you are to have any hope of understanding the festivities, or even the city itself.
