Hey,
Anyone have personal experience w/Bates Dance Festival or other more "grown up" summer dance intensives? I am very interested, looking for stories.

I am not sure I can actually document the 3 years of continuous and regular classes that Bates requires -- I've been out of college and dancing regularly but not in class like I was -- but I am super interested in the instructors. I have also been thinking about ADF, but everyone I talk to so far has said that it is a little bit younger and more HEY LOOK AT ME GET ME IN YOUR COMPANY! and competitive. Not so interesting.

I: am 24, a modern dancer with some (at this point rusty, but getting less so) serious ballet background, trying to "make a go" of dance full time at last (meaning choreographing, maybe performing but I am not as certain that's really going to happen for me.)

Any thoughts are much appreciated.
