Note to New Users:

Welcome to the criticaldance forum (and what took you so long to get here?)

This is a place for dancers, audiences, designers, administrators -- anyone, anywhere in the world, who loves dance -- to read about and discuss anything pertaining to the art form.

You'll find many topics here that are interesting to read; we hope that you'll also share your own thoughts with us. Don't worry if you're not an "expert"; our posters range from people who are just discovering the art to principal dancers and choreographers with major companies. All insights are welcome; all that's necessary is that you have something to say, whether it be a review of some performance you've seen, a comment on a dance-related issue, a question concerning something you've been wondering about, or just a witty observation.

...And if you're more comfortable just sitting back and reading, that's fine, too.

Anyone can read the criticaldance forum, but only registered users may initiate new topics. In some forums, non-members may reply to existing topics, but only members may subsequently edit their posts (so watch those typos!). We encourage you to join -- registration is quick, free, and requires no personal information. There's a link to the registration form at the top of each forum index, or you can just click here.

In addition to the forum, criticaldance publishes the monthly ballet-dance magazine, with in-depth articles and reviews.

Enjoy your visit to criticaldance; we hope it will be the first of many.
