Hello everyone, this may seem like a silly questions but anyway.
I've been wondering lately....which way do you angle your pointe shoe ribbons...
Towards the front of the pointe shoe...like this: /
Or away from the pointe shoe ... like this: \
Any information, photos or pictures appreciated !
Thanks xxx

Away like this \. Put your shoe on and find a nice place on your shoe near the seam that shows off your arch to its best.

I think different dancers also do different things depending on the flexibility of the arches. For years I saw instructions that said to angle them forward, toward the box, but I think that works best for people with higher arches. What worked for me was more or less straight up, but I have rather flat feet.
