Post subject:  excellent modern dance classes in nyc

hi, everybody!
i am heading to nyc for a month this summer (very exciting!), and wanted to ask your advice -- any modern classes you particularly recommend?

i am: fat, an advanced dancer, an adult, not particularly trained in any codified modern*, full of improvisational experience.

thanks a ton. i always lurk here. :)

* i would actually be INCREDIBLY interested in taking, say, graham -- something hard to find out here in seattle -- but i am very intimidated; i worry folks will take one look at my size and dismiss me out of hand, and in graham i am not quite so sure i could prove their assumptions wrong.

There is a beginners' Graham-based class at Peridance taught by Saba, who is a lovely person. I've never taken it before but a friend of mine has and he was very impressed. :)
