Hi! I began dancing ballet about a year ago... When I started I did not feel any pain, but when I had danced for about six months I started to get severe pains in my feet when I jumped. Now I have what looks like a tendon poping out all across my foot. The curve is not a curve anymore, instead it has a bump. I dont know what it is, but my teacher told me that I should wrap something around it to keep it in place. I already did this, but it still hurts very much. I was wondering if anyone has had this same problem or something like it and what to do... thank you!
I also started pointe today, so I hope I can fix this problem as soon as possible.

What did the doctor say? (You have seen a medical professional, right?)

Hi lasylphide and welcome to CriticalDance - we hope you enjoy your time here. Two points about your post:

- we have a special forum for students' questions and I will move your post there.

- in the introduction to the students' questions forum we state:

Quote:
Please do not ask for or offer medical advice. If you have a medical question concerning diet, weight, injuries, medications, or other medical matters, please consult your doctor.
As we cannot see the problem, our Moderators cannot give you advice on this matter. But I whole-heartedly support djb's advice - If you haven't done so already, you should see your doctor.
