I am auditioning for university programs in Canada next school year. I only have 3 years of dance so far, but I am already in advanced classes. I don't know if I have enough training to get into university. (York, Ryerson, in toronto Canada.) What should I do to improve my technique? How can I prepare for this audition? does anyone know what they ask you to do in an audition?
Thanks
------------------
Crystal

Here is a thread you might want to read:
SUCCESSFUL AUDITION TECHNIQUE

The only way to really improve your technique, is to take as many classes as you can from good teachers, work hard and thoughtfully. There really is no other way. Technique is learned in class.
You could also inform yourself in other ways, however. Go to performances, watch tapes, read about dance history. Read dance commentary, read everything you can. Familiarize yourself with the all the styles. In other words take every opportunity to learn. Lots of luck, Dancerchic!

[This message has been edited by Basheva (edited May 31, 2001).]
