Hey, as I've already said here on this forum I am starting ballet classes again after a two year break, tonight actually. Unfortunately, the only ballet class available that was not on the day I can't attend was a pointe class. The teacher has been very flexible and allowed me to come in on soft shoe. Just wondering tho - how long (estimation obviously) would it take me to get on pointe from here? And then are their any exercises I can do at home to speed that up at all?

Thnx for the help
Crystal

Hi Crystal, I wish I could be of more help with this question but your teacher is the one who can really give you the answer. She can see how you are progressing and where you stand, we can't. Were you on pointe before? I think you should take at least 3 classes per week to get strong enough for pointe work. Again your teacher will be the best to advise you on this.
